OOTD: Shirt Dressy

Hey lovelies, how were all of your weekends? Mine was good, dinner and drinks on Friday night, visiting family on Saturday then tea, cake and a play on my new sewing machine with friends on Sunday. It was lovely to see my family, and my grandma very kindly gave me a cute crochet blanket and a little tea cosy before my mum donated a couple of pretty teapots to the cause, I'll b sure to take some photos to show you later in the week.

This outfit is one of my 'go to' outfits of the moment, it's very comfortable and there are lots of ways to accessorize it, today it's a chunky cardy, a tan waist belt and minimal jewellery. The hat is just for the photo's really as it's too small for my big ol' head, so will more than likely end up in my eBay shop.

OOTD: Winter Warmers

Hey boys and girls, I have a lot of love to share tonight so be prepared for a bit of a love feast. I've had so many lovely comments on here recently that I wanted to show my appreciation in some way. So firstly I'd like to thank all my lovely readers with a big virtual hug.

Next I'd like to say a special little thank you to three of my favourite bloggers that have been with me since day one, they are the lovely Alex, Catherine and Asma. Make sure you check out their blogs.

As a thank you I've decided to send each of these ladies a little gift to show my appreciation, ladies; could you drop me an e-mail with an address I can send your gift too. I have also noticed lots of lovely new readers too so I've been collecting lots of pretty things in anticipation of my next giveaway, coming very soon.

For the second course of my love feast I'd like to thank the lovely ladies that have featured me on their blogs recently; Ray from Who is She featured me on her weekly blog lovin' post, and Daniela from 1st Days of Spring named me as one of her blogs to follow.

To top it off, these three gorgeous ladies have each given me a blog award; Helen and Jem gave me the Stylish Blogger award and Ann gave me the Versatile Blogger award. Thanks girlies. I'm not going to bore you with seven facts about me, because I did it a few posts back and struggled to think of something interesting enough then.

I have also been lucky enough to win two giveaways recently the first was this Siren bag from HoneyBunny in Wonderland and the second was this collection of Vintage goodies from Odd Socks and Pretty Frocks. Thanks Lovelies.

~ Outfit Details ~

Cable Knit Jumper - Tesco - £12 (Sale)
Tweed Shorts - H&M - £4.99 (Sale)
Tan Leather Belt - H&M - £7.99
Cameo Pendant - Primark - £2
Wedges - H&M - £14.99
Camel Wool Trench - Thrifted - £7

Total Outfit Cost - £48.97

Regarding the outfit; I think it's actually too boring to go into great detail, it's just another simple but classic ensemble, the coat is the one I mentioned in the Charity Shop Treasures post with new buttons. I do LOVE these H&M wedges though, they add a little something to the outfit as well as being the most comfortable heels I've worn in my entire life.

I hope this post doesn't sound too self absorbed, I really just wanted to show some appreciation to all you wonderful people that genuinely read my humble little blog (sick bucket anyone?).

Blog of the Month: Rebecca's Vintage Romance

This weeks inspiration is from Rebecca's Vintage Romance, another blog, created by Rebecca, a student studying Fashion Promotion and Styling, with a love of all things vintage.

I found Rebecca's blog a couple of weeks ago, and although it's relatively unknown in the blogging community, it's one of my favourite blogs to read and her style is just my cup of tea.

As well as having great style Rebecca is just lovely to talk to and very enthusiastic about her blog. So if you have a spare minute and you haven't already come across Rebecca's Vintage Romance make sure out check it out soon.

It's another quick post today as I'm on my way out for a few drinks with friends, I hope you're all having a lovely week so far, I'll be back with an outfit post tomorrow.

This is just a quickie post, as I've just got back from a 'day after Valentines day' steak dinner with the boy and want to settle in for 90210, but I wanted to give you a quick peek at whats in store at the My Favourite Fashion eBay shop.

OOTD: Swingin' Sixties

I don't know if you've noticed but I'm attempting to channel a bit of a Sixties vibe here, could you tell? I know I'm not the only one a bit obsessed with the Sixties, and like the majority of fashion bloggers I'm totally crushing on Annie Monroe at the moment and the rest of The Like for that matter (did anyone else see them on 90210 this week?).

The Like (Image via Strawberry Koi)

This skirt is another Charity Shop Treasure and although it's much too small for me, I really like this look so I'm looking for something similar in a size I can breath in. The T-Shirt is an old eBay find.

Another Primark  miracle, I've been looking for some comfortable tan loafers for a while now and I refuse to pay £60 for a pair of  shoes that I'll probably wear so often they'll be in pieces by the end of the Summer.

~ Outfit Details ~

Printed T-Shirt - H&M (Via eBay) - £1
Vintage Check Pencil Skirt - Thrifted - £2.50
Skinny Tan Belt - Primark - £1
Vintage Navy Satchel - Thrifted - £2
Tan Loafers - Primark - £8
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge

Total Outfit Cost - £14.50

I hope you're all having a lovely start to the weekend. I've had a very productive evening cleaning the house (in true Rock n' Roll style), but I'm saving myself for the rest of the weekend which includes; taking my parents for lunch tomorrow for my Dad's Birthday, then (the best bit) I'll mosey on over to Derbys Vintage Fair, before attempting to make it to a craft fair my Mum has a jewellery stall at. Sunday will be much less rushing around and a lot more listing on eBay, and possibly a bit of decorating.

I wanted to thank everyone for all their advice on my photo editing software prediciment. I decided to go with the majority and give Picnik I try, and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner, its so quick and simple. Thanks Guys.

p.s Make sure you check out my eBay shop, I'll be adding lots of new items over the weekend, and I'm offering 10% off the final price to all my blog followers (just send me an e-mail after the auctions end).

OOTD: Pure and Simple

Hey fellow Blogettes, I'm very tired this evening, but I really really wanted to show you my handsome new satchel. I'm sure it's been around the blogs and you've probably seen it a million times, well now you're going to see it again...

This outfit is pretty simple, some might say boring, but I say classic. I guess that describes my style pretty well. I like to keep things fairly simple, no obviously clashing patterns or bright colours. I love to follow fashion but in a slightly understated way, but that's just my personal style and I'm sure it's not to everyone's taste.

I've had this skirt for a little while now, I picked it up in December in the H&M Sale, it looks a little creased in these pictures, does anyone know how to get creases out of faux leather? The sweater is from Tesco (!) in their sale, I loved it so much I bought one in Chocolate brown too.

Now say hello to my new satchel, it's nothing special really and it certainly wasn't expensive, but it was exactly what I've been looking for and as soon as I saw it on the shelf in Primark I knew I had to have it. It's barely been off my shoulder since.

~ Outfit Details ~

Cable Knit Jumper - Tesco (F&F) - £12 (Sale)
Faux Leather Skirt - H&M - £12.49 (Sale)
Tan Chelsea Boots - H&M - £11.24 (Sale)
Black Dress Coat - Topshop - £35 (Sale)
Jewellery - Miss Selfridge or Vintage
Tan Satchel - Primark - £7

Total Outfit Cost - £77.73

To all of my new readers; I like to keep a list of the prices of my outfits to show that you don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money to look good and to encourage everyone to spend less but get more.

Before I leave you all for another day I wondered if anyone could offer me some advice on any software that I could use to save pictures side by side (as above) the programs I've been using are either mega slow or mega complicated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you're all having an excellent week so far.

OOTD: Retro Charm

This is the first of many outfit posts incorporating my charity shop treasures, and features two of my favourite pieces. Firstly this retro patterned jumper (does anyone say retro anymore, or is everything vintage?). I absolutely love it, I think it's one of those things that I'm going to have forever. It looks cute with everything, skirts, shorts, jeans and even pencil skirts.

The second of my vintage finds is this peter pan collared jacket, unfortunately the pictures really don't do it justice, and I've covered the collar with my scarf, but it really is lovely and will be perfect for when the weather warms up a little (incidentally my future pictures should *hopefully* be much clearer now I *think* I've resolved my lighting problem).

My Week in Pictures...#4

All rings from Miss Selfridge.

Another Sunday is upon us and it's time for my next week in pictures post.
I haven't done anything particularly exciting this week, so I thought I'd start by sharing some pictures of my latest purchases. I have a new obsession with rings at the moment and with all of these in the sale AND buy one get one free I spent little over £10 for these little beauties.

After hearing so many rave reviews on other blogs, I decided to purchase an eyeko graffiti eyeliner. I have to admit I'm not great with eyeliner on my top lids, but this really did make it a million times easier. It's so easy to apply and creates perfect flicks. I'm very impressed and would definitely recommend it.

Please ignore the uneven fringe, it the way I'm tilting my head forward.

I also decided to get my fringe cut this week after repeatedly changing my mind about whether to keep it long or have a full fringe, after seeing loads of cute fringes across the net, I decided to go for the chop. Although it's alittle short I'm fairly pleased, and it will be the perfect length within a week or so.

Trying to rock the Annie Monroe look.

A couple of pictures from the usual Friday night out with friends.

Lastly, I've been 'making' some of these key pendant necklaces to sell in my eBay shop. I planning on selling them at around £6 each plus p&p. Each key is slightly different so each necklace will be unique. If you're interested just leave me a comment or pop me a quick e-mail.

Right I'm off to bed now. I hope you've all had a great weekend.

Priceless Shoes

As promised, I'm back with more details and pictures of these gorgeous loafers from (would you believe it) Priceless shoes online. I've been looking for the perfect pair of loafers at the right price and I've finally found them.

I was very excited to get home from work and find this package waiting for me, and even more excited to open it and see these little beauties staring back at me.

So what do you think? Not bad for the princely sum of just £17...

Whilst browsing the site I also found these boots in the sale for just £10 and with £1.99 postage on any orders over £15 I couldn't resist.

This is just a quick post so I hope your all having a great weekend so far, I'll be back tomorrow with my week in pictures post.

Retail Therapy #3

Just a quick post as promised to give you a sneak peek at my charity shop finds, from my shopping trip last Saturday. I'm sure many of these items will feature in future outfit posts so keep your eyes peeled.

I adore this peter pan collared jacket with it's pretty gold buttons and a leather trim, I grabbed it as soon as I saw it and when I went to pay, the lovely shop assistant tipped me off to some local vintage shops that I didn't know about, Bonus!

My other favouites are the peter pan collar blouse and the patterned jumper, that's barely been off my back since I got it home.

Thats all for now folks, I hope your all having a great week so far, only two more days till the weekend.
